Eh time passes quite fast. It's already the month of March. But it didn't move as fast as last year though. How I wished it was. Got another 19 months of liability to the nation.

Results probably out on friday. Scary thought. More worse (office way of speaking) nightmares the past 2 night which aren't exactly helping. This is like completely from the 'O's. Probably cos this time it has to do with UNI and thus where you would eventually work and ultimately the future? The economic situation isn't particularly fantastic either, that's why i'm kinda glad that i'm in ns, though my 'allowance' is lower that the aunty that comes in to clear my rubbish :P Got few good friends in there (including Kavaish who shares my views on some of the people in there. HAHA). Generally it's the colleagues that help to look forward to work. I guess w/o them everyday would really be a draggggg.

Yeah that's kinda about it. I probably got nothing much to say (except about work everyday) until friday. We all hope for the best. Best wishes to all getting results :D

Been back to school to observe the interviews (and sit in) for the j1s. Quite happy to say that the j2s have managed to choose a fun bunch of j1s (according to some of the j2s i heard from), which equals a stronger and more united club. This is the first time i see full attendance during the interviews for the j2s, which has never ever happened for any other batches before that. Not even for my batch. Whcih makes me glad to have really put them through the tough selection process in which we cut over 150 applicants to just 24 people to enter the club :D

Been watching the tv series Chuck. It was definitely much better than i expected, the sort of show with the comedy and the seriousness at times. Not the most novel show you've ever seen, but it still does surprising good. The actors do their parts real well (including the lead actress Yvonne Strahovski who can do the america accent well although she's from australia), and of course the nerd CHUCK would is the main character :P

Onitsuka Tiger MEXICO 66® Birch/indian Ink/Latte

By this coming month or the next i show be able to buy this shoe. Although i didnt have the chance to look the price yet, my guess is about 120-160 bucks, which means after buying the shoes i shall be dead broke. Now i got to keep the speakers i was planning to buy until like the end of the year or something. At this point of time i dont really see how i would really need them anyway.

Tom Clancy HAWX

Empire: Total War

Been waiting for these 2 games for quite a long time. I'm pre-ordering them probably the coming week and getting them by the first week of march (which so happens to be also the first week of march). Need some games to drown out the fact that results should be out within these 2 weeks and the reality of not doing well is quite a scary thought :P

Now, although i already have a ps3, my brother and i might jsut ask our parents to buy for us this. Cos looking at my friends play and playing it myself seems quite addictive. Sure the graphics would definitely never match up to that of an xbox or ps3, but having the fun of playing with your family is good enough a reason to buy it >.<

It is always painful to lose a loved one. Whether it's a relative or a friend, you still feel that sense of lost that we all feel. And in these few days alone, it happened to two of my friends.

First it was his girlfriend last sunday, then just this morning, it was her father. I guess it is always a reminder of how fagile life can be, and how we need to treasure ours and that of those around you. You'll never know who would be taken away next. Today was again another vivid reminder of the pain people have to go through when another passes into the next world, but for some, it's the joy of knowing that he or she is in a better place now. No matter what you'll definitely still feel the pain and suffering of those closes, and no amount of words and comfort is ever going to take away the sorrow. Only time heals. Or maybe the wounds are just patched up.

Event like these wake us up from our slummer and brings us back to reality when we seemed to have drifted away into some distant land.

It's like moving mountains

HP Pavilion dv5 Series Entertainment Notebook PC

Haven't been updating for awhile. Bought my laptop already, topping up another 200 together with the 1.5k i already have. Managed to get this at quite a steal. Student price, dedicated graphics (the most important), tv tuner (yes, tv tuner) and 4gb ram. Too lazy to type out all the other specs. Overall a nice one to use, but get really hot at times and the battery, sucks as usual. But i can't complain cos it's already a powerful notebook, compared to the old one i used to own.

Orientation managed to get me rather burnt. Had a sore throat from all that shouting, but it's surprising compared to last year when i was much louder and only got the sore throat a week after orientation ended. The j1s are okay. The only obvious thing is that they are a really quite batch, and even when the j3s (aka t39) tired to like stir them up, it doesn't seem to have any effect on them. But going back and seeing familar faces was something to look forward to. Although we didn't get the change to be really dirty this year (cos of what happened last year), i guess all those who were involved had their fair share of fun. And to think that i was like that exactly 2 years ago :P

Work is, hmm. The same. My upperstudy's leaving in 4 weeks time so i need to clarify everything with him before he leaves. CAF's CNY reception is over, so that's a relieve to everyone in the office, especially my colleague.

Better in time

Dell™ Studio 14, 1.3k Dell™ Studio 15, 1.5k
XPSTM M1530, 1.8k
Studio XPSTM 16, 2.1k

I just got the best CNY ang bao ever. My uncle decided to sponsor me 1.5k to buy a new laptop :D Whoot! He's gonna take my old one to put at his workplace for like rough work. This is kinda like the first time i'm doing so much research when buying a laptop (actually this is only my 2nd one), but it's kinda worth it. Reviews for dell laptops are good, but budget ties me down to which ones i can have. Essentially i either got to beg my parents to get the top up or pay the remaining myself :P
And shooting bbq on sat was good. Haven't seen my seniors in a long long long time, and having to talk about all the crap in army was kinda fun. Wasted we didnt get an opportunity to throw Sin Yean in the pool, but we'll do it another time (I was sure that he was prepared with extra clothing)

Work is usual i guess. More busy than usual with all the documents coming in and the fact that there is a cny reception hosted by our big boss doesnt make it any better. Not that i'm planning it, but still i must help out with the rest of the registry guys to collate the attendance and stuff. Other than that my boss is kinda out the whole week, so nothing much from that.

Anyway, been going quite abit, really tiring. Spending too much too. Need to find students soon or i'll go broke by the time i hit 19. 420 bucks a month is seriously quite little, only barely enough for basic expenses, but you cant save for nuts with that money.

Probably the only thing i'm kinda looking forward to now i going back to cj to help help abit for orientation. At least it's a break from all the work and travelling. And i'll be driving so that takes care of the fact that i dont need to squeezeeee with all the people in the train and bus. HAHA :D

This week was another phyco week. Monday was spent watching YES MAN (and for Aaron the 2nd time) with Songyuan, Eugene, Muthu, Andrew and Gen. Quite a good show, and we laughed quite abit the whole time. The shaw cinema we watched it in was the huge one so that made quite the difference between it and the usual crappy ones. Went to Aaron to hunt for my hamster. Bought the first thing that went crazy when we opened the cover to look at them. It's a male white winter dwarf hamster, and it's still super hyperactive after 3 days at home :P My mum, who was the first person to object it, spends the most time disturbing the hamster now >.< best of all, she asked me why i only bought one hamster. HAHA. yet to decide a name for that furry little thing :D

Saw an advert in the papers for this phone, SE G700 business edition. Apparently it has no camera (hence business edition. why wouldn't you need a camera for business? should be more like NS edition). it's like 438 bucks, and since i need a phone to contact like my boss all the time, i was thinking of selling off my old phone (which is still worth about 200 plus buck) and buy this.

Well other than that work is boring (extremely), although the pace is picking up. Taking leave on the first week of Feb to go back and help the J2s with orientation :D that's one thing im really looking forward to! :)

And now, L4D!

Now that it's 2009, I got a whole list of thing i'm planning on getting as soon as i recieve my allowance from saf. Which happens to be only 400 bucks, and the group of us need to save about 4000 for a europe trip after that, so i need to spend wisely :D
Managed to get this already after switch from my old 2nd gen ipod nano after 2 years. Great sound, but i guess it isnt as user friend as the ipod

Switch to this in the coming week. Still deciding between this and the ipod touch below.

Switch my current speakers to my new com so that my laptop can have this. Logitech Z-5500 digital. Or the Altec Lansing FX5051 below :D
